Employment & Enterprise Support PDF Print E-mail

We have built an enviable track record of helping people back into work or by helping them to develop or start their own business.

For individuals requiring employment support we can provide help with job application forms, CV preparation, and interview role play. These techniques were used recently to run the two year Ethnic Minority Outreach project for JobCentre Plus, which focused on providing employment advice for unemployed people who generally lacked the skills to enter employment through normal channels.

Enterprise support is available for pre-start businesses, as well as for emerging small and medium sized companies. This support can be provided through specially arranged open days, and by working with individuals or companies on a 1-1 basis over a period of time.

Over the last three years, ABi has provided expert assistance to over 500 businesses across various industries. For example, in the food sector, we have provided specialist advice ranging from packaging, new product development and selling to supermarkets. Support has also been provided to businesses that wish to develop or strengthen e-business strategies, including developing payment online facilities and e-marketing tools, improving online security and integrating the company website with the company database.

South Kilburn NDC

ABi is currently working with London based South Kilburn New Deal for Communities to develop and host two Employment and Enterprise Fairs which will bring together 500 local residents with employers, educational establishments, and employment and training advisors.

Enhance

We are working with Brent Council to provide targeted enterprise support to businesses based in Willesden and Wembley town centres. Assistance is provided through various methods, including merchandising advice which concentrates on providing attractive window displays to attract more customers and workshops on a wide range of business subjects such as improving customer service, basic IT, and health and safety.
